Chow time
I haven't had many sightings of muskrats so far this spring, so I was happy to come across this fellow feeding on marsh greens this morning. His long, sharp front claws can be clearly seen in this shot.
Robert - Lucky you. I have yet to see a beaver at the marsh, although I've certainly seen evidence of them over the years - saplings cut down alongside the trail, for example. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a sighting.
We noticed a beaver busily swim around today (Sunday May 6), we could clearly see his flat tail, and anyways, it was much larger than a muskrat.
