I've noticed bees gathering pollen from the wild roses which are in full bloom at the moment, so I wasn't surprised to see this one this morning. However, I also noticed tiny black bugs crawling over the blossom, which I took to be ants. When I got the picture into my editing program, I discovered the bugs were tiny flies, no more than 1/2cm long.
