Out to pasture
Until last evening, I hadn't visited the marsh since the morning of Canada Day, as by chance I got to participate in a photography workshop which ended yesterday. The workshop was part of a conference of the Gulf of Maine Institute (GOMI for short) held at Cornwallis, the former CAF training base. (FYI, the mission of GOMI is "to touch, move & inspire young people, in partnership with adults, to lead in stewardship of the Gulf of Maine and its watershed.") One of the stops of the group, made up of young people and adults from the Maritimes, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, was the Annapolis Royal Marsh.
In the photography workshop, one of the things we focused on was learning to see the world around us from different perspectives. Then we were turned loose on the property to practice. The above photo is a sample of my work. (It's an old snow plow, in case you couldn't tell.) I'm hoping what I learned will translate into better photos of the marsh.
