The 'up-side-down' bird
I heard the call (a nasal yenk, yenk, yenk) of this White Breasted Nuthatch before I noticed it busily exploring the spent tent caterpillar nests in one of the wild cherry trees at the marsh. I think it's only the second time I've seen one at the marsh, and definitely the first time getting a shot of one there. (They are very fond of black oil sunflower seeds, as one is a regular visitor to my feeders.)
