Ducks in a row
There are two large, dead English Oak trees at the water's edge alongside the trail on the back side of the marsh. Various song birds perch in these trees; occasionally a Belted Kingfisher lights there when 'fishing'. Today, because the water level was so high as a result of the recent heavy rains, the lower limb of one of the trees was just out of the water. Sitting in a row on that limb were these juvenile Black Ducks. For once they didn't move away as I approached.
