

No, there are no hummingbird feeders at the marsh these days (although I have seen a hummingbird there, just once). Today I got to thinking that the little family of Ruby-throats that have enlivened my back yard for weeks now, will soon be heading south, so I took some time to record their presence before it was too late. The top photo is an adult female, while I believe the bottom photo is of an immature male (there's just a hint of red on its throat).
